Of The Wild

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
— Khalil Gibran

It's hard to escape those wheels in motion, the constant clutter of the mind , the walls of our home and office, the very schedule that makes up our lives.

The myths we chase, we sometimes call them dreams, not truly knowing what a 'dream' even means most of the time. We can often tell ourselves lies everyday about why we should do something and never really knowing actually 'why' it is oh so important. The clutter exists in every nook and cranny, mostly in our houses and our minds. The perfect tool to help us climb out of this clutter is nature, arriving into a space where truth exists without effort.

You can't tell lies to a tree you see. It knows its true purpose.

In no way does it try to hide things about itself. In no way does it try to change things about what it is and in no way does it hide or harm things around it that are different than it. It stands strong, resilient, bright and tall.

As yoga therapist, Chantal, and I wandered around the trees connecting to the very essence and feeling of being surrounded by truth, we could see that this world was very much alive with it's own purpose, one that pushes away myths, releasing what is not necessary and has the word 'simple' as it's everyday mantra.

I witnessed through a simple guided meditation how this beautiful woman connected and moved with the elements around her. Although it may seem as if trees stand still they are very much alive and dancing, a dance of rhythm and authenticity.

After this experience I asked Chantal how she felt during our afternoon spent connecting and creating and this is how she responded:

Yoga has been the single most healing resource in my life. Nature is my second most healing resource.
Utilizing the offerings of both over the past four years of my life has been a journey of immense healing, and of learning to harness the divine power within me.
Taking the time to connect with Mother Nature and truly allow her wisdom to soothe and heal my soul has been a critical part of this journey. I am incredibly grateful to you [Tania] for capturing these moments in which I felt completely vulnerable to the powers of the universe, moments where I was able to surrender myself completely and allow a deeper feeling of connectedness to embrace me, becoming as one with all of creation.
The emotions that traveled through me during this afternoon had me processing for days... Happiness, sadness, anger, confusion, gratitude, understanding, compassion, fear. It was towards the end when I realized, I am completely supported by the universe in processing any and all emotion, and that these emotions are completely natural.
I find my peace in allowing these emotions to pass, and then releasing them to the greater good. With love and gratitude I thank you Tania, for allowing me to process more of the emotional baggage I carry with me!

My heart feels full knowing this very resource is right at my doorstep.
