Our Forever
“May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young”
I love the mirror that you both provide me with. The chance to watch, observe, and learn from you. The chance to stay young, free and live amongst the chaos as if this was the only day.
Deep within us stories of our souls. We've carried them from times before. Reminders and glimpses of our eternity. You are much beyond your years with years ahead to dance amongst the winds, breathe with the trees, run with your imagination and kiss the very essence of this crazy world.
Sometimes I catch myself thinking that this will not last. The beauty of life's peculiarities and that sweet rhythm where you were mine. However, we will always have this sense of immortality from our memories. The moments where I find myself catching my breath just remembering. Our images will hold our world, as a reminder to stay as we were, to live every last drop and to always find that bit of magic around the corner.
As our summer days come to a close, we settle back into our routines and continue to grow through one another.
I will leave you tomorrow to travel to Italy for one week. I will miss your little faces being held in my hands and against my cheek but I will show you to never stop here, keep dreaming, keep exploring, and always allow your heart to grow bigger and your eyes to stay hungry.
